2) Keep choosing cities that are less than 1,000 miles apart until you reach your hometown. Try to choose cities that are big, since smaller cities might not have airports.

3) After making your stopover in your hometown, plot the next stops needed to get to San Francisco. Don't forget to make your stopovers less than 1,000 miles apart at big cities.


Compare your routes with those of your classmates. Decide who took the shortest and the longest routes to get from New York City to San Francisco.
